The Scheme:

  • In exchange for scrapping your old vehicle and buying a new one the Government, Ford and Gordons will contribute a total of £2,000 towards the purchase of a new vehicle

  • The scheme will be available until 31st March 2010.

  • Further promotions are available on selected Ford models in conjunction with the £2,000 scrappage allowance 

  • Gordons will take care of everything for you, including claiming the incentive on your behalf and arranging scrapping of the vehicle

The vehicle you are trading in must:

  • Be a car or small van weighing up to 3,500 kilograms (kg)

  • CARS - First registered in the UK on or before 29 February 2000 

  • VANS - First registered in the UK on or before 28 February 2002

  • Either be registered or have a SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in your name

  • Have been registered to you continuously for 12 calendar months before the order date of the new vehicle

  • Have a UK address on the registration certificate (V5C) in the same name as the new vehicle

  • Have a current MOT test certificate before date of order for the new vehicle


The new vehicle you want to buy must be:

  • A car or small van weighing up to 3,500 kg

  • First registered in the UK on or after 18 May 2009

  • Declared new at first registration in the UK with no former keepers


In order to benefit from the cash incentive, all you need to do is bring your eligible vehicle to us and select the vehicle you would like to purchase. Gordons will take care of everything for you. It couldn’t be easier.
